Mark your calendar for the social event of the season! Vieria's camping and watersports event will take place from Friday, Aug. 8 until Sunday, Aug. 10. This event is not just about the skiing but also about the socializing. Plus, we rent the ENTIRE private grass campground so it's not like your usual camping event. For those who haven't been there, the campground includes clean bathrooms/showers, electricity and water.
Event Details:
We are planning on doing this event a little bit different this year. There will be an event fee for members and non-members to cover the camping fee of $650 plus estimated launch, tow, and slip fees of between $400 to $500.
Boat owners will attend for free, but in order to make this equitable and encourage as many people to come as possible, we are going to make this a Pay-As-You-Go event for boat gas. This means if you go out in a boat, you will share the cost of boat gas with everyone on the boat (including boat owners if they participate behind the boat). We believe that you will get more than your money's worth.
We will have our customary pot luck on Saturday evening. In the past we've had some surprises like Russel and Solange's fresh caught Abalone. Who knows what is in store this year but if you don't attend, you'll miss out.
Note: Even though we only have the campground until 1PM, if people want to continue watersports in the afternoon, some of the boat owners may stay later for some afternoon runs. Also, they have agreed to let us stay in camp until 4pm if no one else has rented the campground on Sunday.
